I joined Matt Grossman's The Science of Politics Podcast to talk about my book-- The Great Migration and the Democratic Party-- and the relationship between Black people and the Democratic Party. The episode also features very interesting work by Boris Heersink of Fordham University, whose book-- Republican Party Politics and the American South, 1865–1968-- describes the Republican Party's efforts in the South before the region's transition away from Democratic Party dominance.
